For decades, drug design has relied on static protein structures, even though biology is constantly in motion. Important functional behaviors occur only in living systems, yet traditional approaches cannot capture them. Metaphore takes a different path. Our platform measures biological activity inside cells at massive scale, allowing us to see how proteins behave and how their function is generated.
With these insights, we design new kinds of antibodies - functional antibodies - that do far more than block biology. They can activate pathways, tune signaling bias, work across multiple receptors, or combine opposing functions in a single molecule. This approach expands what is possible with antibodies today and opens new frontiers for treating disease.
